Even though the suspension system of a car is an important mechanism, many drivers do not have much knowledge about this or are not aware about it. Some car owners do not care about the internal parts of the car and keep on using it without much care. They end up with a big damage to the interior of their vehicle, and only then they come to their senses. The suspension is one of the things you should check at intervals of few days. Failing to do this, can cost you heavily in the future. Here is how you do it and know whether you need to take it for repair.
A car is supposed to make sure you get a smooth ride and not an uncomfortable one. The suspension springs are at the front and back, and they are responsible for the smooth ride. If they are not in proper shape, you will need to check them. The suspension system is required to preserve the car inflexibly on the street and provide you a comfy ride.
One easy to know if your shocks are leaking is by just looking at the car and see if it is greasy or oily. Their task is to absorb the shocks and make sure the ride is a perfect one. If you are going over rocks or uneven roads or bumps, the only reason you can stay firm is that of the shocks. If they are leaking and you notice grease, take them to the repair shop right away.
Failing Bounce Check
A simple experiment you can do is go to the front of your car while it on Parking mode. Press it with a lot of pressure and if it is bouncing more than two times than there is trouble. Repeat the same thing on the back of the car. It is not supposed to jump more than twice. It is a check you must do whenever you experience a bouncy ride to make sure that the suspension is not wearing out.
Longer Brake Time
It means that you want to stop and press the brakes put it stops after a second. It can be very dangerous particularly when you need to stop within a fraction of a second like when someone or an animal is crossing the road. If the brake time is more and, you cannot stop your car instantly you need to fix it quick.
